Abstract

The present chapter describes the root clearing technique for evaluating the root colonisation by AM fungi. The amount of colonisation is detected by the presence or absence of hyphae, arbuscules and vesicles etc. Some of the modern techniques of quantification of AM fungi in roots has also ben dealt including chitin and DNA determination.
