Abstract

This chapter on the analysis of food samples regarding radionuclides communicates the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s Total Diet Study (TDS) program in the subject area of laboratory analytical work on monitoring food samples for radionuclide contaminations. A brief introduction of the program, sample collection, sample preparation, sample analyses, and findings from analytical results are summarized.
