Abstract

Peripheral venous disease often arises from venous hypertension due to either venous reflux or proximal venous obstruction. When describing venous disease, it is often helpful to divide the topic into these two broad groups based on underlying pathophysiology. This chapter will describe open and endovenous techniques to treat venous reflux and proximal venous obstruction.
