Abstract

The work offers a wide and updated view of the nutritional problems of relevance to public health in the country, in view of the reality of teaching and research and the current epidemiological and nutritional scenario. Breathtaking publication and powerful work tool for the nutritional epidemiology community, goes beyond the assessment of diets and the relationship between food and chronic non-communicable diseases. It also values ​​the long tradition and excellence of Brazilian epidemiology in dealing with issues such as malnutrition, early weaning and a lack of micronutrients.
