Abstract

A computational model of a car driver's cognitive process was developed to create more useful assistance technology for making driving safer. The model's status is mainly determined by the driver's eye movement. In this model, we defined two types of risk : explicit risk for visible objects and inexplicit risk for non-visible areas. In our simulation, we attempted to reconstruct the driver's eye movement while driving using our model. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
