Abstract

Ass-Syafi'i, is well known as a "mejtahid" who developed the "qodim" and "jaidi" schools ofthought which emerged aftera long period ofstudy in various legal centres araound the world. The result ofthese in-depth studies ofvarious methods ofschools ofthought was aneffort in synthesis. This environment heexperienced made a signiticant contribution to thedevelopment ofhislegal thought.
