Awareness of Arabic Teachers in Academic Integrity Towards Students Completing Tasks in Abu Dhabi: Data Analysis Approach

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the level of Arabic language teachers’ awareness of the values of academic integrity and its relationship to the motivation to complete tasks among students of the third cycle in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The study sample consisted of (50) male and female teachers, and their students; (150) male and female students. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach and adopted two tools: the questionnaire to measure the degree of awareness of Arabic language teachers about the values of academic integrity, and the task completion questionnaire for the twelfttwelfth-gradents. The results of the study showed that the level of awareness of Arabic language teachers about the values of academic integrity was high. It was also noted that there were statistically significant differences in the level of awareness of Arabic language teachers for the twelfth grade due to the gender variable and such differences were in favor of males. It was also noted that there were no statistically significant differences due to the educational qualification variable, and there were differences due to the educational qualification (bachelor’s degree) variable. The results of the questionnaire’s analysis of the motivation to complete the tasks by the twelfth-grade students showed that it was statistically significant. Based on the results, the study came out with several recommendations.
