Abstract

Increasing the level of intake increased the rate of passage of fluid and particulate markers in cows and sheep. At high intake levels cows had lower digestion values and faster liquid turnover rates than sheep. Rumen liquid volume did not change with increasing intake in a high concentrate diet. Key words: Cattle, sheep, digestion, markers kinetics
