Namalycastis (Polychaetes: Nereididae) is macro benthos that live in freshwater and estuarine. Namalycastis is potentially used as bioindicator. The aim of this research was to study the content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Cr, and Ni) in the Namalycastis body from polluted (Sunda Kelapa, Jakarta Bay) and unpolluted habitats (Way Belau, Betung Bay Lampung). The metal concentrations were determined by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) analysis method. The Namalycastis collections consist of 2 species, i.e. N. abiuma and N. cf borealis. The result showed that the content of heavy metals in Namalycastis body from Sunda Kelapa was higher than from Way Belau. The highest metal content in Namalycastis body from both locations is Cu. The reasons highest Cu in Namalycastis are accumulation process from their habitat also the Cu metal essential for growth and development organism.
