Abstract

This research presents the study on the effect of yaw rate and sideslip to vehicle lateral dynamic stability using the simulation of Sine with Dwell (SWD) test as an actual working condition. The comparison was made between the result of various constant longitudinal speeds and road surfaces. The yaw rate, (formula presented) increased significantly comparing to the sideslip, β. In addition, the outputs contribute to the instability of the vehicle towards higher speed and slippery road surface.
