Abstract

Academic adjustment has been a major problem of foreign students in International Universities. This paper presents a qualitative study exploring the classroom issues based on the difference of learning experiences of the foreign students in a Pakistani University. The research employs a case study methodology with the data collected through an essay writing task set for the students and interviewing the teachers teaching international students. 103 foreign students and 10 teachers constituted the sample of the study. The studies found that majority of the international students acculturate the learning experiences they brought with them from their homelands in order to adjust in the academic environment of the host university.
