Dynamic charge and discharge response of power battery was carried out experimentally. An on-line monitoring system of power battery in electric vehicle is developed. The heart of this system is the MCU typed MC9S12DP256B, it can monitor the voltage, the current and the temperature of the battery. It was found that can estimate state of charge using battery voltage model, the Ah balance model and the fuzzy control model, by CAN can communicate with multi-energy management system, and storing the static information of battery into EEPROM. The testing results revealed that this battery management system can highly precisely predict the state of charge of spiral-wound lead-acid battery, and can deal with normal problems as well.
