In today’s society there are many factors that contribute to the success of an individual in the workplace. Knowledge of job related content as well as specific dispositions and skill sets are basic requirements of any job. However, the ability to apply this knowledge and skill effectively and efficiently to particular work tasks and projects are critical components that employers are looking for in the job market. Oakland University is a non-profit institution in Rochester, Michigan, USA, dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be productive and successful, not only in the higher education environment, but also in the workforce across various domains of employment. Oakland University is also the home of the Pawley Lean Institute.
