Monitoring in the US program for disposal of non-stockpile chem. warfare material is described. The non-stockpile chem. warfare material is defined as material buried during past disposal actions, former chem. warfare production facilities, binary chem. warfare munitions, miscellaneous components manufactured specifically for use as or with chem. weapons, to include research and development quantities above treaty-permitted levels, and material recovered from ranges, burials, and the public sector. The air monitoring system will be used to verify that the decontamination of these systems has been accomplished.
