Abstract

The flow field and mass transfer in the SCR DeNOx system of a coal power plant are investigated by using numerical simulations and physical model experiments. As a significant measure to increase the DeNOx efficiency, a static disk mixer is installed after the ammonia injection grille (AIG) to promote the mixing efficiency of the ammonia and the flue gas in the short distance between the AIG and the catalyst. Through numerical simulation and physical model experiment, it is revealed that the disk mixer has great positive effect on enhancing the mixing process and will potentially improve the efficiency of SCR DeNOx.
