Abstract

In the paper development of design wave simulator and hydraulic active heave compensation structure is presented. The system is consists of motion platform with two degrees of freedom and hydraulic motor which is used for compensation sea waves. The motion platform is used to simulate the wave effects, while the hydraulic motor is controlled by controller. Authors used an AHRS sensor to measure actual position of the steel load which is mounted at the end of the steel cable. On the AHRS sensor accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer are implemented. In addition, the Authors used two laser displacement sensors to measure the steel load position in two axes. Performed test included step response of hydraulic motor for different type of signals coming from motion platform and measured position of the steel load by laser displacement sensors and AHRS sensor.
