Analisis Tingkat Kompetensi Literasi Sains Mahasiswa Tadris Biologi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of scientific literacy competency of students as Biology educator candidates. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive statistical analysis method using a total sampling technique from the 6th semester student population of Tadris Biology IAIN Kudus, namely as many as 35 people. The instrument used is a literacy test. The results of this study indicate that the scientific literacy competency level of Tadris Biology students at IAIN Kudus in general is still in the low category, namely 57.36%. The indicators explaining scientific phenomena precisely based on the knowledge possessed by students are included in the very poor category, namely 43.4%, while the indicators interpreting data and drawing conclusions correctly are included in the high category, namely 97%. This shows that the scientific literacy competence of Tadris Biology students at IAIN Kudus still needs to be improved to be better by implementing scientific literacy-based learning. Keywords:
