Abstract

Startups have sprung up in recent years, providing innovative solutions to the market. Whilst Internet-of-things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) form the core of innovative products and services, built environment startups have emerged in the once conservative construction and real estate industries. The aim of this paper is to summarize the supportive ingredients and barriers to the growth of startups in this sector based on a systematic literature review.
