Abstract

This chapter presents an evaluation project, set within a framework of collaboration and inclusion. The findings informed policy and practice in relation to the provision of counselling and therapeutic interventions in schools in Wales. The authors were part of a research team tasked to investigate whether a variety of therapeutic interventions offered to preschool children were effective in enhancing the children’s well-being. The research team used a collaborative and inclusive mixed methods approach developed through discussions with school staff. This chapter presents the evaluation project, discussing the process and the challenges, including that of validity.
