Abstract

Craniofacial clefts are one of the most disfiguring craniofacial anomalies. Of all the craniofacial clefts, median cleft of the lip is comparatively rare and less disfiguring. Various surgical techniques have been proposed for the correction of median cleft of the upper lip. Here we present a report of a non-syndromic patient with minimal median cleft of the upper lip associated with high labial frenal attachment and midline diastema. Frenectomy of the tectolabial frenum has resulted in improved esthetics with closure of the median cleft.
