Abstract

Little is known about how veterinary drugs or their metabolites affect the environment. Alistair B. A. Boxall at Cranfield Centre for EcoChemistry (U.K.), Dana W. Kolpin at the U.S. Geological Survey, Bent Halling-Sørensen of the Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Johannes Tolls of Henkel KGaA (Germany) list what is known and the questions that researchers still need to investigate.
