Abstract

The I Special Collection on Management of Resilience in Civil Infrastructure Systems: An Interdisciplinary Approach i is available in the ASCE Library (https://ascelibrary.org/jmenea/resilience infrastructure interdisciplinary). Salem et al. ([20]) proposed a probabilistic resilience assessment framework to incorporate uncertainties related to both disruptive events and the response of an infrastructure system to quantify its resilience. Balakrishnan and Zhang ([2]) prioritized vulnerable components of an infrastructure network to support decision making in resilience management through the application of two resilience indexes: a node criticality index, and a node susceptibility index. Chia et al. ([5]) investigated the feasibility of two river restoration projects in Hong Kong from the diverse perspectives of resilience (i.e., engineering resilience, system resilience, and complex adaptive system resilience) and made recommendations for future restoration projects.
