Abstract

This investigation aims to validate the former developed model by simulating another set of experimental data. The model was formulated to account for the process of turbulence variation in dilute air-particle turbulent flows. The Eulerian-Lagrangian reference frame was adopted for this study. A random walk model was employed to simulate the turbulence velocities. The calculated results show that the proposed model also agrees reasonably well with the experimental data of Tsuji et al. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
