Abstract

Although regional informatization has advanced due to the Internet, a problem remains: not all people can use such services. Data broadcasting is expected to serve as infrastructure to advance regional informatization, because it is safer and easier to use for all the people including senior citizens than internet infrastructure. We are promoting regional informatization based on data broadcasting. However, there are problems such as only information on each genre can be inspected, so the interface must be improved to present information region-wide. Moreover, published information is not managed uniformly, so maintaining the current state that recycles valuable information is difficult. In this study, we propose a map-oriented information model that focuses on maps as information interfaces. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
