This article discusses the book "Learning and Motivation in the Postsecondary Classroom," by M.D. Svinicki. The purpose of this book is to readily provide research and theory about learning and motivation in postsecondary education to classroom faculty. The author demonstrates through nine clearly written chapters different learning theories and successful ways to adapt them to the classroom and combine them into a instructional design process that is based on solid research.
