Abstract

In this paper we focus on the usefulness of business process knowledge for clarifying change requirements concerning the supporting software systems. To this aim the correctness and completeness of the change requirements impact were evaluated with and without the business process knowledge. Results of this preliminary empirical study are encouraging and indicate that the business information effectively provides a significant help to software maintainers. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
