Abstract

Major- and trace-element analyses are presented for 110 samples. At site 458, most of the 209 m core contains endiopside- and bronzite-bearing Mg-rich andesites, compositionally similar to boninites. The rocks from other sites are andesites and calc-alkaline basalts. Their geochemical characteristics are discussed and tabulated. -K.A.R.
