Abstract

This work aimed to describe the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the educational context, in free access publications in the national and international scientific literature. As a method, a systematic survey was carried out in the CAPES Periodical Portal, between January 2020 and July 2021, in which the inclusion criteria for the studies were their full availability in the database and because they were studies with interviews with parents/ guardians of children diagnosed with ASD or interviews with teachers or coordinators of schools that had children diagnosed with ASD included. Seven articles were selected for analysis. As a result, it was possible to observe the difficulties in relation to education, experienced by families during the isolation period. They also indicate that, about remote education services for children with ASD, there is a need to pay attention to the specificities of these students.
