This chapter will provide an overview of a four-phase familial sculpting and reflecting intervention, as previously outlined by Faddis and Bettmann, which incorporates families into residential wilderness-based therapy through the use of sculpting and reflecting teams. The authors will then review how this intervention and die theories that provide its structure have most recently been adapted for working on family dynamics even when family members cannot be present.
