Abstract

In the cover image for article number 1801995 by Shaowei Chen and co-workers, an artistic conception from an ancient poem in The Book of Odes and Hymns —whereas the river is wide, a simple reed raft will get you across”, an electrocatalytic reaction process is described, where the river represents the energy barrier in the conversion of reactants to products. This barrier can be readily overcome by a small boat where the sail signifies single-atom catalysts. Such a route is more efficient than the traditional one as depicted by the detour via the bridge.
