Abstract

Idiopathic ventricular fibrillation (IVF) is a rare condition that may be defined as abrupt onset VF in the absence of known cardiac, respiratory or metabolic aetiologies. Characteristically, these events occur while at rest, have a greater prevalence in males and are most commonly observed at age <45 years.
