Abstract

Based on analysis of status quo of training innovative talents in science and technology in regional colleges, this paper puts forward several measures to solve existing problems. Regional colleges should devote much more attention to the cultivating of innovative talents in science and technology. Some effective measures should be taken to help outstanding young teachers with potential talent in research become outstanding innovative talents. Several measures were discussed in this paper, such as financially supporting outstanding young teachers for research project, building a platform of research for young teachers with the aid of construction of key subjects, and offering opportunities of international training and exchange to outstanding young teachers. Reasonable incentives mechanism for innovative talents should be established including using the incentive resource effectively. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
