Abstract

SMEs(small and medium-sized enterprises) in China are impacted by enormous changes in their business processes. E-commerce offers a promising way for organizations to meet challenges of an ever-changing environment. However, few available studies related to SMEs in China reveal that they lag behind and are skeptical about adopting the technologies irrespective of their effectiveness. This paper presents the relevant support required by SMEs in China, and the related solutions to enhance the core competitiveness are also discussed. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
