Abstract

Inundations lead to massive fatalities and loss of assets. Notifying com- munities of the arriving hazards gives the general public enough time to remedi- ate, protect possessions, and abandon a place if needed. Emergency Response (ER) structures can be modeled as a Cyber-Physical System (CPS) with control units, sensors, and actuators for environmental observing. This work aims at the instru- mentation level ofVisual Sensor and Actuator Networks (VSANs) using sustainable electronics and reengineering to ease the complications engendered by the present economic crisis and scarce financial resources. This approach examines ways that salvaged electronic components can assist far away and economically deficient loca- tions. The intricacy of these systems and the indispensable self-sufficiency within the perspective of a developing country while keeping the framework maintainable and accessible to workers without technical skills presents challenges.
