Abstract

The article presents a study which compares the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic (CHOP) and rituximab added to CHOP (R-CHOP) in treating HIV-associated lymphoma. The authors identified three studies on HIV-related lymphoma treated with R-CHOP and nine studies with CHOP. They concluded that patients with HIV-related lymphoma treated with R-CHOP had higher odds for complete response and 2-year over-all survival when compared to CHOP.
