Abstract

This paper examines the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and dangers of using AI Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT to write scholarly articles in natural sciences. These intelligent and impactful tools may be used for many purposes, both good and bad. There is great potential in applying these tools for science, but they have limited capabilities for now, especially in medicine-related articles. These tools should not be listed as authors or co-authors, and their sole use for over-viewing the literature could eliminate citations, potentially leading to a major crisis in academic pub-lishing.
