Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of direction of angle (DOA) for acoustic vector-sensor array, and derives multi-invariance MUSIC (MI-MUSIC) algorithm therein. The proposed MI-MUSIC, which only requires one-dimension searching, can avoid the high computational cost within two-dimension MUSIC algorithm (2D-MUSIC). Our proposed algorithm can resolve the DOAs estimation of acoustic vector-sensor array. We illustrate that MI-MUSIC algorithm has better performance than ESPRIT algorithm, and it also can be viewed as a generalization of MUSIC. Simulation results verify the usefulness of our algorithm. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
