Abstract

As the water industry recognizes the importance of using data to address its most critical challenges, it is faced with a new challenge: how to harness and integrate the data. A survey by Black & Veatch examined water utilities’ strategies in asset management, energy planning, risk and resilience, and aging infrastructure; all are affected by effective use of data. Tapping into the Internet of Water can pave the way for utilities to realize a more holistic approach to how they do business.
