This chapter: • Outlines some of the main issues and challenges faced by community interpreters. • Presents the views of medical and legal practitioners about their expectations and perceptions of interpreters. • Presents the views of practising interpreters about current issues relating to their practice. • Discusses how the results of research can be applied in the practice to help meet interpreters’ issues and challenges.
