Abstract
This paper describes a proposed methodology for developing Topic Maps ontologies. The methodology is explicitly designed for the development of an initial ontology for a web portal, but can be adapted for other purposes. A procedure for producing a complete ontology is described, as are guidelines for how to produce an ontology. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
