Abstract

Multiple mechanisms can lead to the development of glaucoma following penetrating keratoplasty (PK), including open and closed angle mechanisms. Previously controlled glaucoma can become uncontrolled or elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) can develop following penetrating keratoplasty. Treatment in these patients can be complex, and the glaucoma is often refractory to medical therapy. © 2010 Springer-Verlag New York.
