Efektifitas Kombinasi Breast Care dan Pijat Laktasi Enam Jam Post Partum pada Primipara Terhadap Kelancaran Produksi ASI

Abstract

Breast care is an action or sequence of regular stimulation of the breast muscles to improve blood circulation, care for the nipples so they are clean and not easily chafed and facilitate milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the combination of breast care and lactation massage six hours post partum in primiparas on the smooth production of breast milk in PMB Embay, Cikupa Tangerang District in 2021. The design of this study was a descriptive Quasi Experiment using a one group pre and post test design, using a sample of 29 respondents, data collection using observation sheets, data analysis using Shapirowilk and inferential analysis using Wilxoson match pairs test. The results showed that the mother's milk production for 6 hours post partum primiparas before breast care and lactation massage, all respondents experienced breast milk production that was not smooth, namely 29 primiparous post partum mothers (100%). After the combination of breast care and lactation massage on primiparous post partum mothers, the majority of the milk production was smooth, as many as 26 respondents (89.6%). Statistical results using the Wilxocon test obtained Asymp.Zig of 0.000 < (0.005). In conclusion, there are differences in milk production in primiparous post partum mothers before and after breast care and lactation massage.
