The exploitation of pastures stimulates the increasingly accelerated occupation of new areas, but little attention is paid to the proper management of the soil, which favors its degradation. Therefore, this study seeks to analyze, quantitatively, and qualitatively, a soil degraded by livestock. To achieve this objective, apply the deductive method, a quantitative approach and the survey of data documented in medical journals available in information bases, such as the Electronic Library of Science Online (SicELO) and Google Scholar, indexed with time return between 2010 to 2020, an end to the selection of more current literature. Regarding the soil sampling plan, it involved the steps established by Embrapa (2017). After analyzing the data, there was a critical level of soil density (n= 1.21 g/cm³); nutritional deficiency of phosphorus (P), with “very low” content (n≅2.66 mg/kg), and potassium (K), with “low” content (n≅38.68 mg/kg), in addition to “medium” content (n≅39.12 g/kg) for organic matter (OM). Therefore, itis necessary to carry out measures for soil recovery regarding nutrition, for example, the use of organic fertilizer with biosolids from sewage treatment plants.
