Abstract

As a method of human resource analysis and evaluation, competency is an important tool that puts the human resources strategy and organizational strategy in a close connection. The paper explored the competency model of major discipline in the medical university by behavioral event interview (BEI) and questionnaire. The results reveal that the competency model is composed of four dimensions, including nineteen factors. This will provide an evidence to screen, appraise, prompt, train and performance talents of major discipline. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
