Abstract

Learning conceptions of industrial society, by emphasising students'intrapsychological dimension, have forgotten the dialogic dimension. Atpresent, the dialogic learning approach, developed from and forinformation society, focuses on the intersubjective learning dimension. It is a useful scientific framework to explain how people can learn moreand do so better. In addition, the dialogic learning approach works as aframe of reference in the design of learning environments that promotesuch interactions. In the article, we explain what dialogic learning is,and its seven principles are detailed, illustrated with examples fromthe learning communities where these principles are translated intopractice, which lead to improvements in students' learning, in creatingmeaning, and in coexistence.
