Abstract

Software reliability evaluation plays an important role in the software reliability engineering. Software reliability qualitative evaluation technology can be an effective way to make up for the deficiency of the software reliability quantitative evaluation method. It can put forward the level of the software reliability before testing and suggest some improvement measures for software design, development and other activities. This article mainly sums up the research results of qualitative assessment of software reliability from the following three aspects: based on the theory used to deal with the uncertainty problems in mathematics; software development process and other methods used to evaluate software reliability. So it provides a reference to select qualitative evaluation method and lays the foundation for further study. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
