Abstract

To ensure that social workers are well equipped for dealing with the complexities and challenges of real-life practice (Dolan et al. in Family support as reflective practice. Jessica Kingsley Publishers, London, 2006; Yip in Br J Soc Work 36(5):777–788, 2006; Ruch in Br J Soc Work 37:659–680, 2007), reflection should be an important component of social work (Oltedal in J Comp Soc Work 2:1–3, 2010).
