Transglutaminases (TGases) have been implicated in a number of physiological disorders, inspiring the development of TGase inhibitors as mechanistic probes and for their therapeutic potential. This chapter presents an overview of the theory and practice of enzyme inhibition, followed by a summary of recent TGase inhibitors.
