Abstract

Earlier this year English Heritage, the BDA Museum and The Lindsay Society for the History of Dentistry unveiled a plaque to Lilian Lindsay (1871-1960). This paper outlines the history and administration of the blue plaque scheme and celebrates the contributions made by dentists who have been commemorated with plaques. © 2013 Macmillan Publishers Limited.
