Abstract

Purpose: the article considers the problems of inter-regional interaction in the context of economic security of both a separate territorial entity and the state as a whole. Design/methodology/approach: The research methodology is based on the principles of a systematic approach, methods of logic and mathematical modeling. Findings: In the conditions of continuing foreign political instability, the urgency of the problem of ensuring economic security at the national and regional level through the development of economic integration of the regions is growing. One of the main problems of interregional interaction, restraining the spatial development of the territory, is the resource potential management system. To solve it, the authors developed a model for assessing the availability of resources for the basic industry of the region and a model for interregional interaction, the basic structural element of which is an information and consulting center focused on information support and legal support for managing interregional interaction based on the use of the resource potential of its participants. The expediency of applying the approaches of spatial changes and spatial innovation-entrepreneurial ecosystems to increase the competitiveness of territories and ensure economic security at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is empirically substantiated. A comparative analysis of traditional and growth-oriented entrepreneurial policies revealed the differences, disadvantages and advantages of the transition to a model of entrepreneurial economy in the regions. Originality/value: The article presents a comparative analysis of the basic elements of copyright concepts: a compensation (or complementary) model of inter-regional interaction and a model for the uniform development of territories. They represent the result of the birth of a new paradigm of regional growth in the context of the evolution of scientific views on the theory of the distribution of productive forces, innovative development of technologies, digital transformation of the market space, which form the corresponding demand in the labor market.
